2005 Climb to Fight Breast Cancer - Mt Baker
Welcome to Jen's Climb page.
In June 2005, I will team up with a group of climbers formed by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center to participate in a unique event called the Climb to Fight Breast Cancer. I will be a part of the the Mt. Baker team. I am excited about not only the climb, but being able to give so much (with the help of all of you) to finding a cure. My fundraising goal is $3,000. At 10,781 feet, Mt Baker is the highest point of the Northern Cascades and a heavily glaciated active volcano. The twelve active glaciers of Mt. Baker cover an area exceeding 20 square miles! Mt. Baker is unique with respect to its great mass of snow and ice and its easy accessibility. I will ascend Baker by way of the Easton Glacier route, gathering strength and endurance to conquer the Baker summit in the name of breast cancer research. Please feel free to check to see my progress or sign the guestbook. With your support and encouragement I know I'll make it to the top! Jen 4/25/05 I have finally reached my fundraising goal of $3000! I still can't believe it. Thank you to everyone who made a contribution. I couldn't have done it without you! |
